State and Private Preschools
IMACA believes that every child is unique and all children can learn. We know that children learn best with involved parents and through meaningful play. Whether state or private, we welcome ages 3 to 5 into our play-based, child-centered programs.

“My son attended last year and loved the program and the teachers. He grew very close to Miss Danielle and the other teachers. He was a high-needs child and we felt that he was supported in every way possible to help him thrive.”
“I was so impressed with how the classroom was set up. It helped with the stress I was feeling sending my son to school during COVID.”
“After being in school only a week, all my daughter can talk about is how she wants to go back because it is more fun than being home!”
Below are some FAQs about our program. If you still have questions, please contact us!
State preschools are free to income-eligible families, while private preschools charge tuition.
We currently only accept childcare assistance payments from Inyo County’s Child Care Connection. However, we are also working with local Native American tribes to accept payments from their programs.

Together, students and teachers agree on classroom rules to prevent unwanted/unsafe behaviors. We use pictures to show each rule for visual learners. Teachers redirect unsafe behaviors and check that students understand. If the behavior persists, teachers make a plan with the parents.
Yes. Lee Vining, Mammoth, and Clarke Street have bilingual teachers. Our classrooms learn about different countries. We listen to books on tape and music of different cultures, and we cook cultural foods!
We serve a snack for Coleville, Lee Vining, Mammoth’s State class, Clarke Street, and Lone Pine. Little Promises and Mammoth’s private class do not provide snacks, but parents can bring their own. We always have extra food in case a student is still hungry.
